I am making a music video on the song Gangsters Paradise, In the official Music Video, There is a lot of people whether singer, dancer, or background character in confrontation or conversation with one another.


  • The costumes regardless of  role seems to be glasses and a jacket of some sort
  • Props include paper necklace, a hat, a hoodie, and sunglasses
  • The appearance seems to be gangster or shady
  • The setting is darker as to show nighttime which plays into being shady



1.   The codes and conventions are the music which are symbolic of the lifestyle young people strive to live up to on the streets of ghetto places.

2. The camera is angled to show an argument which shows that the life of a gangster is filled with nothing but bad things and that the good scenarios or the "paradise" is unobtainable

3. The video sometimes uses Pathos- such as when the police arrests a guy who was caught up in conflict is getting arrested and someone who cares for him is asking them to stop which shows that they are human and have a heart and emotions however the life they live with a bunch of violence does not show that

                                               AICE Media Studies Group Blog For this project I will be working by myself. This decision was mostly because I do not know anyone well and have not made a friend yet at this school. At first I considered it a downside.With a group we could split up the work and would require me to do less and focus on other things simultaneously. As a result of being alone it would cause me to have to do a lot of things on my own and getting adjusted to with certain tasks. The filming Homestretch(Production Blog) AICE Media Studies

 On Thursday, the 9th I started putting on the finishing touches to everything I had already filmed. At this point I have done all the  filming  by myself. I improved a lot on dancing and acting but now was the time to start to finish up. Slowly but surely I was able to get the hand of my steps and sins. I was able to have all the costumes prepared and ready to go. At this point all the props had fulfilled their purpose. I had all the clothing I needed to change into neat me for an easy and quick process. I made sure that the lighting was dark but not so dark that nothing could be seen. The background noise was kept to minimal which allowed for smooth recording. I got all of my scenes done the way I had envisioned it but I did make sure to keep practicing so it can be as good as possible.
