AICE Media Studies

 On Monday, the 29th I started filming by myself. I am a very terrible dancer  so it took me awhile to get the spin and steps properly done. As the sole member, I brought all the costumes, and props for the filming. I had to change clothes for the certain scenes while it was a little inconvenient to change clothes in the middle of the scene it worked out in the end. I made sure to get the specific the angles that was reminiscent of the music video. There was a bit of background noise due to family which bothered me and I had to redo a bunch of scenes. However in the end I was able to get the scene as best as I could. I continued to film scenes 1 and 7 over and over again because they proved to be the most challenging. Scene 8 also needed some major effort put into it. It was not a very difficult scene however it would be the scene that best demonstrates my representation so I needed it to be amazing.  First Scene- During this scene I will be filming myself walking into the room slowly and in a hoodie Second Scene-  The next scene will have me putting on sunglasses and bouncing as I walk Third Scene- The third scene will be me doing a spin and moving to the right Fourth Scene- The Fourth scene will be doing another spin and moving to the left Fifth Scene- The fifth scene will have me dancing(Terribly because I am not a good dancer) Sixth Scene- I will remove the sunglasses and take off the hood Seventh Scene- I will engage in conversation with someone(An edited copy of me) Eighth Scene- The conversation will turn into an argument Ninth Scene I walk away from the scene while putting the hood back on Tenth Scene I walk back into the room reminiscent of the first scene Eleventh Scene I keep walking and bouncing while putting on the glasses and do 2 spins while stepping to the right and left after each spin Twelfth Scene I engage in conversation and the argument again except with a litt

                                                        AICE Media Studies Research Blog I am making a music video on the song Gangsters Paradise, In the official Music Video, There is a lot of people whether singer, dancer, or background character in confrontation or conversation with one another. The costumes regardless of  role seems to be glasses and a jacket of some sort Props include paper necklace, a hat, a hoodie, and sunglasses The appearance seems to be gangster or shady The setting is darker as to show nighttime which plays into being shady 1.   The codes and conventions are the music which are symbolic of the lifestyle young people strive to live up to on the streets of ghetto places. 2. The camera is angled to show an argument which shows that the life of a gangster is filled with nothing but bad things and that the good scenarios or the "paradise" is unobtainable 3.                                             AICE Media Studies Planning Blog(Music Video) Props Since I have decided to make the video on gangsters paradise, the main prop was a hoodie. Other props included a necklace made of paper and sunglasses Costumes In my music video, I had to play the role of a singer so I will wear a paper necklace and some sunglasses. In a different role I had to act as a dancer so I just wore some casual clothing. Hey it is me again and just like last tike I will be working by myself. The reasons and benefits are still the same as last time like so. This decision was mostly because I do not know anyone well and have not made a friend yet at this school. At first I considered it a downside.With a group we could split up the work and would require me to do less and focus on other things simultaneously. As a result of being alone it would cause me to have to do a lot of things on my own and getting adjusted to with certain tasks. I feel like the most challenging part of this project especially with going solo would have to be the filming. The rest of the project definitely will not be a joke as I am gonna have to learn how to video edit and actually start video editing despite me having never done it before. However while being alone had a lot of downsides it had upsides as well. Working alone means I do not have to worry about if someone does not do their part. As the sole member I can do whatever
