How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  There have been people recently who have opposed mask wearing and thought that it does more harm than it is worth which I do not personally agree with, so I wanted my commercial to address that wearing a mask is important. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?  My product relates to an event currently going on in the world so I felt like that it would be relatable to the audience and could encourage them to learn the importance of masks and I feel that it can be distributed in ways such as a TV advertisement or a news broadcast. 3.                                                          My commercial This was my first major project that I worked on. Looking back at my project, there was room for a lot of improvement. However, it is great because now I have improved greatly with things such as video editing. Before doing this project I never really had a need to record anything so I never got used to it and it felt weird doing it. Now I feel a lot more comfortable doing it it and it was a little fun to do. It also has taught me to do things on time and that turning things in early is not a bad idea. I also had to learn time management and that things will not always go in my favor so I had to have backup plans. This may have been one of the most stressful projects I have ever done however it was fun to actually go outside and move around instead of staying home all day. A...

                                                                                                 AICE Media Studies another day to edit Came back to edit and some things went better than before.Everything was put in order already so I did not have to do that again. I noticed some things that I did yesterday that I was not ok with and made those changes.This included cutting even more things out, and adding things yet again.Some scenes felt incomplete and I did not know how to fix it.I do not know if I cut too much or maybe recorded a bit too little but it felt off in some way.Once I got back on my phone to start editing I made sure of one thing before continuing.                                                          AICE Media Studies Editing Blog Once all the scenes were done right I just had to put them in order and put in any finishing touches. This includes putting things in order, cutting things out, and adding things in.Some scenes felt too long and unnecessary and some scenes felt a little lifeless so they were cut out.To begin with, The editing was done on my phone.Once I started editing I immediately thought of one scene where the editing was crucial which was scene 4. The scene where I needed multiple people only seemed to work if I duplicated myself which is why editing was especially important from this scene. First Scene- During this scene I will be filming 2 people bumping into each other with one of them being sick. The shot will try to be somewhat close-up. The location is outside a neighborhood. I wanted to talk about health safety and since there is a whole thing going on with the world right now I thought to make it about masks. Second Scene-  The next scene will have germs spreading from one person to another. I have an edited background to try to show it kind of jumping from one person to another.There is also a label which is a green colored piece of paper with the word germ on it.  Third Scene- The third scene was originally gonna be at a park but since I was not able to manage that it was filmed outside my house on a table with duplicated versions of me to represent friends.                                                                                                     AICE Mediastudies Another Day of filming  On Tuesday the 5th, I went back to filming. Again since I was alone it was more convenient for me as I was going on my own schedule. As the only person working on it I had costumes to show the different characters. There was a problem when I did however. I tried to pick a place where the weather was good however it was raining. The vehicles did not make the situation any better and the fact that I did not have an umbrella. A lot of things got wet such as my phone to record and my clothing.
